Maher Zain is a Lebanese-Swedish R&B singer, songwriter and music producer. He released his debut album Thank You Allah, an internationally successful album produced by Awakening Records, in 2009. He released his follow-up album Forgive Me in April 2012 under the same production company, and a third album One in 2016.
Egyptian poet & lyricist Salah Galal wrote the lyrics to many of Maher Zain’s biggest hits including Ya Nabi Salam Alayka, Assalamu Alayka, Radhitu Billahi Rabba, and Mawlaya. He was a friend of Zain’s and of many at the Awakening Music record label. Hubb Ennabi was one of the last songs the lyricist penned shortly before he passed away in 2012 following a long battle with cancer, aged 39. Salah is survived by his wife and 3 children: Baraa, Bilal and Suhaila. We ask you to recite Al-Fatiha for his beautiful soul and to pray for him.
